The League of Muslim School Proprietors (LEAMSP) Oyo State is a significant achievement for the entire state's educational sector. Established more than a dozen years ago, LEAMSP provides guidance towards higher standards and innovative ideas rooted in Islamic values for private school owners.
LEAMSP was modeled after the successful development in Lagos, which has consistently led the educational sector in Nigeria. Today, LEAMSP is a strong stakeholder in Oyo State's educational landscape.
The breakthrough came with the emergence of Alhaji Ridwan Ayinde as the Chairman of the state branch of the association. Under Ayinde's leadership, the executive team made concerted efforts to reach out to key political figures, including Hon. Abdul Akeem Obadara and Hon. Fowokanmi.
Fifteen members of the association met with the Education Committee to emphasize the need for LEAMSP's involvement in Oyo State's education reforms. Despite facing challenges with meetings and communications being stalled at times, the association remained persistent in its pursuit of this goal.
Today, LEAMSP is now a strong stakeholder in Oyo State's educational landscape, contributing to the improvement of education standards and promoting Islamic values in the educational sector.
